When can I sell my products or services? When can I buy?

As soon as you become a Tradebank member, a broker will list your items for sale, promote your business, and send you new business. Once your account has accumulated sufficient Tradebank Dollars (T$) to pay for the products and services you wish to acquire; you’re ready to begin buying. Your T$ balance grows via sales to Tradebank clients.

How do I keep track of my Tradebank Dollars?

Another benefit of membership is the ease of use our system offers. Our automated bookkeeping system manages your account and trade transactions for you. You’ll receive monthly statements detailing all of your trade exchanges and any balance of your trade dollars.

Will I pay more in a Barter Network than I would in retail?

Tradebank Charlotte is filled with opportunities for you to shop around and receive the best value for your T$. Negotiate with sellers if you think their prices are too high, or simply buy from another Tradebank member with similar goods or services.

Are business related expenses via trade exchanges considered income by the IRS?

Barter transactions are subject to sales tax and are taxable by the IRS. Since eligible business purchases by means of bartering is tax deductable, Tradebank Charlotte provides IRS compliant forms to make calculations easier for you.
